About me

I started streaming in 2017, and Vtubing in 2018. I never really did it consistently, so I didn't really gain much of a following at all until I did started doing it on a set schedule in 2024. I've always loved streaming, and Vtubing was a natural step for me since I didn't want to show my face but loved the idea of people being able to see my expressions. I've always chatted to myself while playing games anyway, so streaming it was a natural thing for the most part. That doesn't mean it wasn't awkward at some points, but it was still something I enjoyed and I still do.Nowadays, I take my streaming more seriously. I dual-PC stream, which I at first did with a laptop as my stream PC. I did end up building a PC out of spare parts from my and my partner's computers and it works much better obviously! I plan to continue streaming for as long as I enjoy it, and I hope to cultivate a community that is able to relax and have fun with me along the way.

What is VTubing and what is a Vtuber?

To put it in simple terms, it is someone who streams or makes content using a virtual avatar! You've probably seen them for a while, especially what are called "PNGTubers". MattPatt from "GameTheory" being a good example of what exactly a PNGTuber is without him explicitly identifying as one. The idea is the same, however.VTubers is more of a blanket term, including more complex avatars that move with tracking based on someone's facial and even body movement. These avatars can be 2D or 3D!The most important aspect is: We are real people! We are not bots, AI, or anything of the sort. We are real people with real lives behind the screen, we just use virtual avatars to represent ourselves.
While there are exceptions to this rule, the vast majority of Vtubers are human.
Why use an avatar?Privacy is a big one, but I also just really love having a fun design that I can really have fun with! I can change outfits on a whim, change my hair, etc. and I never have to stop stream to do so! It's fun!
Not everyone will like Vtubing, and that's okay.

Dual-PC Streaming?

What is dual-PC streaming?Dual-PC streaming is using two computers to stream instead of one, to put it very simply. You can use more than two, but it can get very complicated the more computers you add! My gaming PC handles only the game I'm playing, so I have no concern if I can stream a game. If I can run it, I can stream it. My stream PC handles everything else. My model, my tracking, my redeems, etc. all run through my stream PC. While I would love a stronger stream PC, I use the parts that I have! The Setbacks- MONEY
- Potential Audio Issues
- Connecting two PCs for streaming
- Potentially a lack of space
- Potential Vtubing setbacks
When using two computers instead of one, you run into unique issues that you normally wouldn't worry about otherwise. Audio is a huge thing, for instance, that a lot of people might struggle with. I'm no stranger to computers and have been in IT, build my own PCs, etc. but audio is something that can still give me a difficult time when the goal is to make everything as seamless as possible. With double the cables, you may find yourself hearing coil-whine when there never was any before. Or just trying to figure out how to send audio to one set of headphones might stump you.
The other difficulties are space, heat from more computers, connecting the computers for streaming purposes... And for Vtubing, there's a few things you might think you're not able to do because you're not gaming on the same PC your model is on. But I have conquered every obstacle I've encountered by trying programs I've come across in my search.
Worth It?For me? Absolutely. For everyone? No.
Really, especially in this economy, not everyone can afford it. My stream PC was made of hand-me-downs from my and my partner's computers. I am extremely fortunate to be able to have those parts lying around for me to use. The only thing I had to buy new was the case.
The setbacks, the extra money, time, and hassle is NOT for everyone. It can drive you mad if you're not patient.
The freedom of being able to stream anything my computer can run is fantastic. However, sometimes it's better to invest in one really good PC rather than two.
You don't just spend money on PC parts either, but capture cards. When I started my dual-PC journey, I had an external capture card on-hand already that I used for the longest time! It was cheap and worked quite well. However, not everyone's financial situation is the same, so what I consider cheap ($50 USD range) for certain things will break the bank for others. I am extremely fortunate to be able to have the setup that I have.
You can use laptops as stream PCs, but the performance is dependent on the specs of said laptop.
I will always share whatever resources and advice I have to those who ask for it! But the reality is, unfortunately, it is a costly setup if you don't already have the parts and additional add-ons already.
For more information on what I use for software and hardware, feel free to look at my Stream Resources tab! If you have any questions that aren't answered there, feel free to email me with whatever questions you have.

What is Anxiously Charitable?

Every year for the holidays, I host a Tiltify campaign called "Anxiously Charitable." When it was first done, I called it "Anxious Thankmas," but I wanted to avoid any confusion with the official Thankmas since the campaigns are not always related to the official Thankmas itself. In response to this, I decided to change the name to Anxiously Charitable, where it was versatile enough to be used for any campaign we'd want to do!We have been doing this for two years now, and plan to continue the tradition every year.
